DevOps Team Lead

Who are we?

Planck, now a part of Applied Systems Inc., is revolutionizing the insurance market with its advanced

use of Generative AI (GenAI). Our state-of-the-art platform turns unstructured data into real-time,

actionable insights, enabling insurance companies to make smarter, faster decisions. As the AI hub

for Applied Systems, we are uniquely positioned at the forefront of the industry, driving significant

advancements and delivering exceptional value to our clients.

Joining Planck means working in a dynamic startup environment while benefiting from the resources

and maturity of a market leader like Applied Systems. We foster an inclusive culture that supports

professional development and work-life balance. At Planck, you'll be at the cutting edge of

technology, shaping the future of insurance while advancing your career within the larger framework

of Applied Systems.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a DevOps Team Lead to join our AI revolution! You'll lead a small, senior team and

own the foundation our engineering teams build on. Your team's work will directly impact how fast

and confidently we ship — from architecting resilient cloud infrastructure to getting our next

generation of GenAI agents running in production. You'll stay hands-on while you lead, set the

technical direction for DevOps at Planck, and partner closely with our Platform team and with R&D

leadership across Applied Systems.

There's plenty still to figure out — most of all, how this team plugs into Applied's wider DevOps and

Cloud Engineering organization. You'll have a real say in shaping that.

What will you do?

• Lead and grow a team of DevOps engineers — 1:1s, performance, and career development

• Set the team’s priorities and technical direction, and align them with R&D leadership

• Shape how the team fits into Applied’s DevOps and Cloud Engineering organization - how work

comes in, how priorities get set, and how decisions get made

• Stay hands-on: architect and build cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling

alongside your team
