Job Descirption:

 

This position is for a Site Reliability Engineer supporting Agile software development teams. The role involves performing work to support software development tools, workflows, and processes. The Site Reliability Engineer will deploy, configure, and maintain DevSecOps tools used for automation, testing, monitoring, and security. You will be part of a team dedicated to improving the efficiency and success of other engineering teams. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience in Agile development and essentials of DevOps.
  • Experience using scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
  • Able to communicate effectively and work closely with assigned teams.
  • Support continuous improvement, process innovation, and lessons learned activities.
  • Integrate with a team of multidiscipline, multileveled Software Engineers and Systems Administrators supporting development environments.
  • Assist Software Engineers by providing support for software development pipelines, Static Code Analysis (SCA) scans, and other supported tools.
  • Assist the team with applying patches/updates to enabling services for software factory.
  • Must be able to travel 10% to Waco, TX

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • Requires working knowledge of the Linux Operating System (Red Hat) 
  • Requires analytical skills

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Able to obtain and maintain DoD 8570/8140-compliant security certification, such as CompTIA Security+
  • Experience in Design Patterns and Frameworks.
  • Familiarization with virtualization, containerization, and hybrid computing environments.
  • Experience in SQL/NoSQL database design and queries.
  • Software and hardware troubleshooting background.
  • Familiarity with ISR Systems.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Jfrog Artifactory, Coverity, Fortify, and Blackduck) 
  • Experience with configuration management applications such as Ansible/Ansible Automation Platform, AWX, puppet, or chef
  • Experience with creating and improving documented procedures and/or playbooks
  • Experience in building/utilizing CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with cloud platforms
  • Certifications Security+, CISSP, CISM 
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting distributed systems
