What You’ll Be Doing (We don’t love the bullet points, but we love the work!)

Bring your curiosity to the systems that power demanding computing missions. At GIGATEC, you’ll deliver fast, reliable, and secure software deployments across high-performance computing environments, orchestrating complex configuration changes and software updates while maintaining security, compliance, and performance throughout the delivery lifecycle. You’ll build infrastructure automation, develop custom Ansible modules in Python, and deploy containerized services with Kubernetes and Helm. As the Tier 3 technical escalation lead, you’ll collaborate with Operations & Maintenance teams to investigate challenging infrastructure issues, uncover root causes, and create automated remediation that prevents recurrence and strengthens long-term reliability. If you find satisfaction in solving the problem everyone else escalates—and engineering a way to keep it solved—this role belongs on your radar.

Required Skills

  • Experience with Linux command-line tools.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and automation using Ansible.
  • Python development, including custom Ansible modules.
  • Containerization using Docker, containerd, and Podman.
  • Helm chart creation for deploying containerized services in Kubernetes.
  • DevOps/GitOps practices, including release candidate preparation and deployment pipeline maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Git proficiency, including branching strategies and tagging.
  • Comprehensive technical documentation, including installation guides, troubleshooting runbooks, and architectural diagrams.

Desired Skills

  • Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.
  • Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
  • Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools, such as NetBox.
  • Appreciates a sense of humor and the occasional well-timed joke. 😂
