Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Infrastructure/Middleware Engineer to provide engineering, administration, and support for enterprise middleware platforms hosted on Linux environments. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, security, and availability of Java-based applications and middleware infrastructure. The successful candidate will support CI/CD processes, troubleshoot complex application integration issues, and provide advanced production support across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer, administer, and support Java middleware platforms running on Linux operating systems
  • Perform middleware installation, configuration, testing, tuning, patching, upgrades, and ongoing platform maintenance
  • Provide Level 3 production support, including incident analysis, root cause investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex application and middleware issues
  • Monitor platform health, analyze logs, and proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, stability, and reliability
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, network, and DevOps teams to support enterprise application integration and deployment initiatives
  • Manage and support CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) pipelines, deployment automation, and release processes
  • Troubleshooting Java-based web application connectivity, performance, and integration issues across distributed environments
  • Drive operational excellence through automation, standardization, and continuous process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting Linux-based environments, Java middleware technologies, and enterprise application integrations
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and continuous delivery practices
  • Hands-on experience with middleware administration, production support, and application integration troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, SSL/TLS, and local/global load balancing technologies
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex application integration issues across multiple platforms and technologies
  • Expertise in log analysis, problem determination, root cause identification, and issue remediation
  • Strong experience troubleshooting Java-based web applications and middleware services within Linux environments
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-critical production environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Deep expertise in Java middleware platforms and enterprise integration technologies
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Shell, Python, or similar technologies
  • Familiarity with enterprise tools such as AutoSys, Wireshark, WinSCP, OpenSSH, and content replication technologies such as Carbonite or equivalent solutions
  • Hands-on experience with release orchestration and deployment tools such as Digital.ai Release (formerly XebiaLabs Release) or similar platforms
  • Experience supporting DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and enterprise-scale deployment frameworks
  • Knowledge of middleware security, performance tuning, and high-availability architectures
