Platform Engineer

About Froda

Founded in 2015, Froda’s mission is to democratize access to financing, giving small businesses the same growth opportunities as large ones. Through digital innovation, we’ve transformed the loan process from months to minutes, offering fair, fast, and accessible financing. Now, through embedded lending, we’re integrating our technology with global banks and fintechs, building the next generation of lending infrastructure. Join us in creating opportunities for small businesses to invest in their ideas to the best possible terms.

About the Role

As Froda continues to scale, we’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Platform team, the team at the heart of our technology. The team’s mission is to build and maintain the internal platform that enables and supports our developers to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure fintech solutions efficiently.

In this role, you’ll work closely with engineers across Froda to understand their needs and ensure they have the cloud infrastructure, network connectivity, tools, environments, and automation required to succeed. You’ll be part of a small, high-impact team that values helping others, simplifying complexity, and improving developer experience through collaboration and support.

Your work will directly impact how quickly and safely our product teams can innovate, making you a key enabler of Froda’s growth. You'll also play a central role in building Froda's agentic foundation: the platform that lets AI agents work alongside our engineers in a secure, reliable and compliant way.

Our Platform & Tech Stack

The Platform team builds and evolves a scalable internal platform that enables product teams to focus on delivering customer value. We do this by providing self-service capabilities and continuously improving the developer experience.

Underneath it all is an Azure foundation that we own end to end: subscriptions and environments, virtual networks, private endpoints and private DNS, VPN, identity and access, all defined as code. At Froda, the entire platform is standardized on Kubernetes, from core infrastructure to all product team applications, giving us a consistent, scalable foundation and a shared way of working across engineering.

Technologies you’ll work with include:

• Azure

• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terragrunt

• Kubernetes for all workloads

• GitOps using ArgoCD

• Observability with the LGTM stack

Who You Are

You’re a technically skilled engineer who takes pride in building robust, scalable systems that others can depend on. You see infrastructure as a shared foundation, one that requires both strong technical execution and close collaboration. You’re at home in the cloud and comfortable going below the application layer — into networks, DNS, identity and the infrastructure everything else runs on. You thrive in a team environment, value clear communication, and enjoy enabling others to move faster and more confidently. You're curious about AI and excited by how agents are changing the way software gets built, and you want to help shape that, not just watch it happen.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Thrives in a collaborative environment where support and communication are key.

• Enjoys solving infrastructure and cloud challenges and enabling others to succeed.

• Is proactive, approachable, and has a strong sense of ownership.

• Balances technical depth with a genuine interest in teamwork and shared success.

Key Qualifications Wishlist

Experience:

• Experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, Cloud or DevOps role

Skills & Tools:

• Cloud Platforms: Solid hands-on experience designing and running production environments in Azure, GCP or AWS.

• Networking: Good understanding of cloud networking — virtual networks and subnets, routing, private endpoints, DNS, VPNs, firewalls and load balancing.

• Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools.

• Containers & Orchestration: Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes in production.

• Security: Experience with cloud security in practice: identity and access management, network segmentation, secrets management and shared responsibility models.

• Monitoring & Observability: Experience with tools that support proactive issue detection and team visibility.

• CI/CD: Familiarity with build and deployment pipelines; experience with GitOps is a plus.

What’s in it for You

At Froda, you’ll be part of a company that combines the best of both worlds, a fast-moving, high-energy culture with the stability and structure to support long-term success. We’re 100+ ambitious self-starters who genuinely care for each other and the work we do, all while having fun together.

Here, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your work, develop your skills, and shape your own growth journey. With big ambitions and a rapidly evolving business, there’s plenty of room to grow, lead initiatives, and make a real impact on both our company and the industry. If you're looking to be part of a success story and contribute to something bigger, this is the place for you.

Furthermore, you’ll get:

• An opportunity to be part of an exciting journey, shaping the future of our company and transforming the SME financing landscape

• Fabulous office overlooking Stockholm and a friendly culture that values work/life balance

• We prioritize working in the office to maximize the positive impact of in-person collaboration, but we offer flexibility with work hours and remote work

• Competitive compensation package

• Insurance and pension plan
