Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Platform Engineer (R3-R4) to develop and support the engineering and operations of VMWare ESX based Infrastructure (IaaS) capabilities hosted on-premises along with Microsoft Azure. Improve company infrastructure automation and observability patterns. Guide and direct Server virtualization operations. Develop new enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions. Assist in the prevention of system outages. Manage operations of global large-scale ESX Infrastructure. #LI-DNI

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field, followed by 7 years of progressively responsible experience working with infrastructure hosting platforms. Experience must include a minimum of: 7 years of experience with automated virtualization infrastructure availability and resiliency at enterprise scale; 5 years of experience with optimizing, configuring, and maintaining private cloud infrastructure capabilities; 5 years of experience with Linux, Windows, VMware vSphere, Dell SAM storage, and Cloud certifications; and 5 years of experience developing scripts and automation workflows using tools including PowerCLI, Python, and vRealize Orchestrator. Part-time telecommuting may be permitted. #LI-DNI

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$129,813.00 - $149,284.95 per year

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
