Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer - React and Database Development

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) builds high-performance GPU platforms for demanding AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing workloads. We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer focused on UI development to join the Raw Metal Cloud (RMC) team.

RMC builds the software platform that manages the AI infrastructure lifecycle, from hardware onboarding and inventory through networking, provisioning, validation, rack certification, and customer handoff. RMC Portal gives engineering and operations teams visibility and control across these workflows, helping deliver GPU capacity efficiently and reliably.

As an IC3 engineer, you will drive the UI architecture and development of RMC Portal V2, migrating the application from Oracle APEX to React and TypeScript. You will build reusable components, simplify complex workflows, and deliver responsive, accessible interfaces that improve usability, performance, and maintainability.

You will own features from design through production, establish frontend engineering standards, and collaborate with product, UX, and backend teams on API integration, authentication, and role-based access. Your work will establish a scalable, extensible platform for future capabilities while supporting a phased migration.

We value clear technical judgment, simple designs, ownership, and collaboration. You will influence RMC’s frontend technical direction, mentor engineers, and build software with a direct impact on OCI’s AI infrastructure delivery.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Migrate APEX workflows to React and TypeScript through a phased, tested rollout.

• Build reusable components, dashboards, and interfaces for inventory, rack readiness, and repair workflows.

• Integrate REST APIs, single sign-on, and role-based user experiences.

• Improve usability, accessibility, and performance for large datasets.

• Develop automated tests and contribute to CI/CD, code reviews, and production troubleshooting.

• Hands-on experience developing React applications, including hooks, state management, and API integration.

• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS skills.

• Experience with Oracle Database or another relational database, including SQL, data modeling, transactions, and query optimization.

• Familiarity with backend development using Java or a comparable language.

• Strong problem-solving and cross-team communication skills.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining production software, with ownership of service components from design through deployment.

• Strong experience building production applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Proficiency in component design, state management, routing, and REST API integration.

• Experience with responsive design, frontend performance optimization, and automated testing.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, secure development, and authentication concepts.

• Strong problem-solving, ownership, and cross-team communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating Oracle APEX or other legacy applications to modern web frameworks.

• Familiarity with Oracle Database, SQL/PLSQL, and backend services.

• Experience with OCI, enterprise identity integration, and operational dashboards.

• Knowledge of infrastructure inventory, hardware lifecycle, or data center workflows.
