Job Description
We're seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with deep expertise in AWS multi-region architectures to help design, implement, and operate highly available cloud platforms. This role focuses on migrating production workloads from single-region to multi-region deployments, improving disaster recovery capabilities, and building resilient infrastructure through automation and Infrastructure as Code.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS networking, cross-region replication, Kubernetes-based platforms, and modern observability practices. This is a senior-level role requiring strong troubleshooting skills, technical ownership, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both engineering teams and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
● Enable multi-region resilience and automated/manual failover of foundational services used across the company.
● Own approximately 10–15 services and lead pilot work on 4–5 applications to validate the multi-region approach (pilot-light vs active-active).
● Design foundational services to be multi-region first and eliminate cross-region dependencies.
● Implement low-latency cross-region data replication.
● Configure transparent traffic failover.
● Create and maintain documented runbooks and operational playbooks.
● Automate deployments for multi-region environments.
● Implement monitoring and perform cost analysis.
● Deliver a validated multi-region design.
● Create automation templates for repeatable deployments.
● Execute at least one successful failover test.
Key Requirements
Proven experience designing and executing single-region to multi-region AWS migrations, including regional failover strategies and traffic routing (Route 53, AWS Global Accelerator)
Strong expertise with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK), containers/orchestration (EKS, ECS, Kubernetes), and CI/CD for multi-region deployments
Hands-on experience with cross-region data replication, observability (metrics, logs, tracing, alerting), and practical troubleshooting in large-scale production environments
What We Offer
At Jobsity, we know that a positive professional experience goes beyond the role itself.
Depending on the position, client, country, and type of contract, professionals may have access to different benefits, programs, and resources designed to support their well-being, development, and remote-work experience.
These may include:

● Professional development and learning opportunities
● Ongoing support from our People Experience team
● Recognition initiatives and internal activities
● Remote-work flexibility
● Opportunities to collaborate with international teams
● Access to tools and resources that support your work
● Career growth opportunities based on performance, business needs, and available roles
