Summary of the Job:
About This Role:
Contribute to the development and maintenance of FNBO's monitoring ecosystem. This includes implementing monitoring frameworks, dashboards, alerting, and tooling for proactive issue detection and resolution, plus advancing monitoring-as-code practices
Partner with application and platform teams to improve service reliability, observability, and overall system health
Support the growth and evolution of the Site Reliability Engineering practice at FNBO, embracing engineering-first approaches to operational challenges
Participate in incident response for high-severity events, contributing technical expertise to drive rapid resolution and minimize customer impact
Apply infrastructure-as-code principles to improve consistency, repeatability, and scalability
Identify and reduce toil through automation and process improvement, freeing capacity for higher-value engineering work
Participate in post-incident reviews and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Assist in analyzing system performance trends and capacity utilization, helping surface actionable improvement opportunities
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in software development or site reliability
Troubleshooting and crisis response capabilities
Broad software development capabilities from scripting to application development to infrastructure as code
Strong communication skills
Compensation:
Compensation range (base pay): $79,363.00-$130,949.00
This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.
Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
Work Environment:
It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays. We provide the tools and technology to ensure seamless transitions between work environments, supporting your productivity wherever you are.
