We are looking for a driven and talented individual contributor to become a part of our DevSecOps Platform Engineering Team, a critical part of our software development and delivery ecosystem. As a member of this dynamic team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ensure the security and stability of our development environments, and support the deployment of high-quality software solutions. 

The Department’s mission is to provide world class Radar Software to be used in military systems deployed at sea and on land. Our software teams employ an Agile Scrum process to rapidly design, code, integrate and test capabilities on a continuous basis into a mature solution for our customers.

This position is full-time on-site in Marlborough Massachusetts.

Eligibility Requirements
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government–issued security clearance is required.

What You Will Do:

  • CI/CD Pipeline Support: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to facilitate efficient software development and delivery processes.

  • Agile Collaboration: Contribute to agile practices and collaborate within the team to support the delivery of high-quality products and foster continuous improvement.

  • DevSecOps Awareness: Support the integration of security best practices into the development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with established standards.

  • Infrastructure Support: Help maintain and upgrade the development environment infrastructure, including tools and frameworks, and provide timely support in emergent situations as needed.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, program subject matter experts (SMEs), and Digital Technology (DT) and Cybersecurity teams to deliver secure and reliable software solutions.

  • Issue Resolution: Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues impacting development pipelines to ensure smooth operations.

  • Automation Assistance: Support efforts to automate repetitive tasks and explore innovative approaches to improve workflows.

  • Monitoring and Reporting Support: Help monitor pipeline performance and contribute to reporting on key metrics to ensure smooth functionality.

  • Debug and Integration Support: Assist in resolving stability issues in common trunks and support the integration and testing of real-time embedded application software on Linux and Windows platforms.

  • Development Environment Maintenance: Contribute to maintaining and modernizing development tools, such as ClearCase, Perl, Jenkins, Smartbear Collaborator, Grafana, Coverity, and Matlab, while supporting migration to container-based environments like Git, GitLab, Podman, VSCode, and Artifactory.​

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).

  • Basic experience or familiarity with scripting languages (bash, perl, python, etc.).

  • Basic experience or familiarity with the Linux operating system.

  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes, specifically related to scripting languages.

  • Familiarity with Configuration Management (CM) tools (ClearCase, Git, GitLab, etc.).

  • Awareness of Agile and Scrum principles to support workflows and team processes in Jira.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Ability to think quickly in high-pressure scenarios and deliver results.

  • Hands-on experience or exposure to debugging, testing, and maintaining development environments.

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and test automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab runners, and Grafana for visualization.

  • Experience or familiarity with Linux operating systems in an administrative or user capacity.

  • Experience with tools like Smartbear Collaborator, GitLab, or other source code review tools.

  • Familiarity with Coverity or other static analysis tools.

  • Experience or exposure to tools like git, Jira, Artifactory, Bitbucket, Matlab, and Coverity.

  • Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
