We are looking for
an Azure DevOps Engineer to join our client's team. This is a new position for the company and this position will be
responsible for developing and maintaining the DevOps environment as the
company moves to the Azure cloud. This
will be a highly visible position, as it is a new position, there is not anyone
currently handling these responsibilities for the companies that are in the
middle of the merger. Candidates MUST
have the ability and willingness to work with both technical and non-technical
professionals and be ready to speak with C-level executives on the status of the
DevOps environment for the company.
The client
prefers candidates to be in Omaha as they intend to return to their office
sometime in 2021.
Job Duties:
- Build and maintain a DevOps
lifecycle from planning through implementation and monitoring
- Automate builds and releases (CI/CD)
across development, testing, and production environments using a
combination of scripting languages and automation toolkits
- Administer
and manage Atlassian deployment suite consisting of Bitbucket, Bamboo
- Oversee
Azure infrastructure, provide guidance and best practices, and participate
in support
- Maintain
high standards of application design, including but not limited to
adherence to architectural, security, and scalability standards and best
practices
Requirements
- 5 years working in DevOps / Release
Management
- Experience
deploying in Azure with a focus on serverless computing
- Significant
knowledge on setting up a secure and highly available application in Azure
(App Services, Search Services, Storage Accounts, KeyVaults, Load
Balancers, Azure Resource Manager templates, etc.)
- Demonstratable
knowledge with Azure Monitor / Alerts / Application Insights
- Extensive
experience with library management tools (NuGet, Artifactory, etc.)
- Proficient
with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Azure SQL (T-SQL, Replication,
Profiling) and CosmosDB
- Experience
analyzing resource plans as part of cloud cost management and budgeting
tools
- Experience
with scripting / programming languages (Powershell, Azure CLI, C#, etc.)
- Familiarity
and knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019
- Knowledge
of Azure Active Directory and Identity and Access Management
administration
- Knowledge
of security best practices, networking protocols, firewalls, etc.
- Working
knowledge of caching technologies (Memcache, Redis, APC, etc.)
- Eagerness
to learn emerging technologies and apply them in an ever-changing
environment
- Strong
communication and collaboration
- Participating
in compliance and auditing controls (PCI, SOC, HIPAA, etc) a plus
