Job Description

You take ownership of evolving NBIF Unified into a highly automated, operationally excellent self-service orchestration platform, enabling consumers to onboard and use the services they need securely, reliably and with minimal manual intervention.

You & your role

As Medior Azure Platform Engineer, you know the secrets of building and operating secure, scalable Azure platforms. You shape NBIF Unified, simplify model onboarding and automate delivery and operations. You strengthen security and observability while helping the Orchestration Platform squad develop the platform into a sustainable business-as-usual service. You work closely with product, architecture, risk, security and model teams.

Examples from practice

• Translate consumer needs into reusable self-service platform capabilities.
• Create configuration-driven onboarding patterns for new credit-risk model workloads.
• Improve reliability through observability, automated runbooks and clear service ownership.

Facts & figures

• 36 hours per week.
• 1 shared platform supporting multiple credit-risk model calculations.
• Over 48,000 Rabobank colleagues worldwide.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Design and evolve secure, scalable Azure services and reusable orchestration patterns for NBIF Unified.
• Automate infrastructure, testing, deployment and operations to increase reliability and reduce manual work.
• Bring consumers, engineers and control functions together to enable controlled onboarding without unnecessary bespoke solutions.

You define service indicators and objectives, improve observability and learn from incidents. You also use artificial intelligence responsibly to support coding, documentation, troubleshooting and operations, with appropriate attention to privacy, security and human oversight.

Together we achieve more than alone

We believe in the power of differences. By combining people's differences, we become an even better bank. We're curious about what you'll bring to our team at Orchestration Platform.

‘Our challenge is not only to build NBIF Unified, but to make it easy to onboard, secure to operate and ready for BAU. We need an engineer who brings strong technical judgement, ownership and a different perspective to the squad.’

Larry Herbe, Tech Lead Credit Analytics.

The people in the Orchestration Platform squad build and operate shared orchestration capabilities for credit-risk models. Working together is the way we work; as 1 technical squad at Rabobank. Talking of Rabobank: We are a Dutch bank that operates in 35 countries for over 9 million customers. Together with these customers, our members and partners we stand side by side to create a world in which everyone has access to enough healthy food. In the Netherlands we work to create a country in which people are happy with how they live, work and do business.

Work on yourself & the world around you

For us, your development and that of society go hand in hand. That's why we want to invest in you and work together to create a better world. We summarize this in one sentence: "at Rabobank, you work on yourself and the world around you simultaneously."

This is reflected in your personal development budget, our hybrid work environment, and a good work-life balance. You can also work on banking matters for our personal and business clients, as well as on social issues like the food and energy transitions.

Why everyone is welcome at Rabobank
